Non-surgical care
Physiotherapy, injections, bracing and activity planning for injuries that can heal without an operation.

Common questions
Do all sports injuries need surgery?
No. Many sprains, partial tears and tendon problems recover with rest, physiotherapy and activity changes. Surgery is advised when a joint stays unstable, a tear will not heal on its own, or you need to return to a demanding sport.
How long does recovery take after ACL surgery?
Walking comes back within weeks, but the graft needs time to mature. Return to running and sport is usually staged over several months, often around nine, and depends on strength, balance and your sport. Your surgeon will set milestones for you.
What is arthroscopy?
Arthroscopy is surgery done through small cuts using a thin camera and fine instruments. It causes less damage to surrounding tissue than open surgery and is used for the knee, shoulder, hip and other joints.
Do I need an MRI first?
Not always. Many injuries are assessed by examination and X-ray. An MRI is advised when ligament, meniscus, cartilage or rotator cuff damage is suspected.
